What care do you offer?

We offer residential care, dementia care, respite care, palliative care, and support for people living with mental health conditions or physical disabilities. We also welcome our community members for day care.
Residential Care - Help with everyday and overnight needs, like meals, washing and dressing, medication management, whilst encouraging as much independence as each person wishes.

Dementia Care - Gentle, patient support shaped around each person's unique journey, delivered by staff with nearly 40 years' experience.

Respite Care - Short or longer stays in our calm home, giving carers a well-earned break with complete peace of mind.

Palliative Care - Compassionate end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity and supporting families through this precious time.

Day Care - Join us for companionship, home-cooked meals and gentle activity, within our newly built day care cabins in the woods.

Having built trusted professional connections with local GPs, nurses and hospital teams , medical support is timely, safe and well-coordinated.

How quickly can someone move in?

We understand that sometimes you need care arranged quickly, perhaps following a hospital discharge or a sudden change in circumstances. At Canwick House, we conduct a thorough pre-admission assessment. Following assessment, we have been known to make miracles happen!

However, we never rush the process. We take time to understand each person's needs, routines and personality to ensure our home is the right fit - and our calm, harmonious environment is right for you or your loved one.. This thoughtful approach protects the wellbeing of all our Residents.

How much does care cost?

Care costs vary depending on individual needs, so we'll always discuss this with you openly during your visit or enquiry.

We're here to guide you through the financial side in plain language - no jargon, no pressure. Many of our residents are self-funding, and we're happy to explain what that means and talk through your options.

If you're unsure about funding, local authority support, or what financial help might be available, we'll point you in the right direction and help you understand the next steps.
